Cap'n Spack Jarrow

Progress of sorts...

The barge has been 'dressed', moved, filmed, undressed and is now ready for dry dock. Friday coming the dry dock will be empty and the blocks will be set for her. Hopefully if it all goes according to plan Zee should be in dry dock in a week's time or so. There are a few days set aside for work to get Zee back to her white painted . . .

She's a Staaaa-aaaa-aaar

(But unlike the band 'James' she will last a bit longer)

Firstly, I must apologise to my global fanbase (ok ok, 5 of you and a small Dachshund who just likes the photos) for the paucity of updates recently. I will bring you up to speed in double quick time and then get on to where we are now.

Shortly after leaving dry dock we were contacted by the dry dock manager about a production . . .

Triumphant return or tactical retreat?

My sincerest apologies to all the avid (and less avid) readers of the blog for my 'radio silence' but things have been, ahem, somewhat busy recently. Just to get the really painful stuff out of the way first, the total bill has been calculated which breaks down as below:

"Percy the Devil f@rts in my face once again..."

For those unfamiliar with the above quote it is from one of the finest works of cultural importance ever to be visited upon the human species. It is up there with "The Origin of the Species", "Ben Hur" and "Family Guy". I am of course talking about "Blackadder". Series 2, Episode 5 - 'Beer' to . . .

Making watertight...

It would appear that the bad news may have come to an end (at least temporarily). The welders have worked the entire weekend as the commercial vessel had to sail this morning so they have been up against it to get all the plating below the waterline finished. As I tickle the keyboard and grasp words of wisdom from the ether and convert them . . .
