Um yeah, sorry Mum. I bought another bike... And that's how I got to Holland. Soz.
My initial plan was to buy a big old scooter thing like the Big Ruckus. Can carry lots of stuff and not cost the earth to insure or drive... Unfortunately I had a dreadful experience with a company who wanted to sell me one so I started looking around for what else was available. I went to see a CBR1000 2 seat chop and a GSX750 Bobber (in the pic). The CBR had warning signs all over it - water in the fuel filter, cracking paint around the filler neck and the guy couldn't tell me anything about it other than he'd only had it a few months (WHOOP WHOOP, Warning, Warning...) so I walked away from that one.
Next up was the Bobber. Built by a chap I will describe only as Big Dave, missing 2 fingers and with an in depth knowledge of every nut and bolt on the bike. Started on the button and he could answer every question I had about it as if he had built the entire thing from the ground up himself. Which he had.
She's a 98 GSX750F engine in a hardtail Wormburner chassis. She's not cornering demon but quick off the mark, sounds like the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse and still gets 60mpg. It's not quite a straight through stainless exhaust but might as well be. As they say, loud pipes save lives.
So, sorry mum, I am biking again. But she is cool right? :)
